Hello HN, We’d like to show you our project — Nohooks[0]. The aim is to add webhooks to platforms that do not natively support webhooks. We really believe many APIs can provide a better developer experience by providing webhook notifications to enable us to automate more things. Nohooks works by intelligently polling the integrated platform's APIs, determining if a change has occurred, and generating webhook events. Nohooks currently supports webhooks from Notion’s Databases, Render’s Services & Deployments, and DigitalOcean’s Droplets. We will add more in the coming days and improve the…

Hey Friends, Convoy is an open-source webhooks gateway. Webhooks continue to be hard at scale, and large teams require consistent tooling for inbound & outbound webhooks. Convoy enables developers to securely send, receive and manage millions of webhooks reliably with features like retries, rate limiting, circuit breaking, customer-facing webhook logs, zero downtime secrets rotation and more. Since our initial launch [0], we've learned a lot about our users and made several important improvements we are excited to share: - We are now a webhooks gateway! Akin to API Gateways that sit at the…

Today, the apps we build use a LOT of APIs, including Stripe for payments, Clerk for auth, Twilio for messaging and more. But receiving these webhook events to keep our own data synchronized has traditionally been a big hassle. The problem applies to both prod and dev. In prod, we need a reliable way to subscribe to these events and deliver them to their eventual destination. In dev, we need a way to test against these events locally. The existing products in this space include ngrok, HookDeck, Convoy and others. They are all great, but they have some caveats. For one, ngrok doesn't provide…

Hey HN, stripe-no-webhooks is an open-source library that syncs your Stripe payments data to your own Postgres database: https://github.com/pretzelai/stripe-no-webhooks. Here's a demo video: https://youtu.be/cyEgW7wElcs Why is this useful? (1) You don't have to figure out which webhooks you need or write listeners for each one. The library handles all of that. This follows the approach of libraries like dj-stripe in the Django world (https://dj-stripe.dev/). (2) Stripe's API has a 100 rpm rate limit. If you're checking subscription status…
