I made an open-source Python library for the Stable Diffusion Web UI. It's a direct alternative to Huggingface Diffusers except it has more features + runs the same scripts as A1111 so the results are replicable. Please give it a star on Github! https://github.com/saketh12/Auto1111SDK

I was randomly browsing claude codes ralph wiggum plugin[1] and was surprised to see my toy project referenced. Since it appears people are getting some value out of it, thought I'd share it here... Full disclosure, this repo itself was built with a primitive ralph wiggum loop so expect AI slop. It works though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://mikeyobrien.github.io/ralph-orchestrator/ [1] https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/tree/main/plugins/...

Post-Opus 4.6, LLMs feel much better at using bash, code, local files, and tools. So I kept coming back to a simple question: if a model can use a computer reasonably well, why can’t I just give it my broker account, a strategy, and let it trade? My conclusion is that the blocker is not model capability in the abstract. It is the system around the model. A raw LLM breaks on a few practical things almost immediately: • no persistent operating memory across sessions • no trustworthy record of what it did and why • no hard approval boundary before money moves • no cheap always-on monitoring if…

Hey everyone, my friend and I created a GitHub Wrapped video for developers to showcase their activity on the platform in a more fun way. The implementation is open-source (https://github.com/rendleyhq/github-wrapped-2024) if you're interested in how it was built. To get a bit geeky, we used masks, keyframe animations, luma key shaders to remove the background from the confetti video, and some other techniques. Also, everything is rendered directly in the browser!! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the rendering performance, especially if you're running this on your…

hey all! Vaibhav and Ethan here. We asked a silly question, "what if you attempted to look into every commit of every repo?" and over the holidays ended up building something kind of fun. Here's some interesting stats: Charlie Marsh has put a crazy amount of work in on UV... so far #1 with over 149k minutes of work this year. (103 days of non-stop coding ).. #2 is me with 85k (just over 59 days...) on BAML #3 - Jérémy M. with 82k (57 days) working on Twenty #4 - Alexander Belanger with 79k (54 days) working on Hatchet Some fun repos:…

Hey HN. Online image compressors are good, actually not! popups, subscription, clunky ui & more... So I created ConUtil Compressor it's 100% free and opensource. The only local image compressor that doesn't suck or get you into subscription hell. Enjoy! Ahmed

hey hn – mint is gone, the clones feel like bloatware, and afaict every “personal finance” app still assumes you love staring at pie charts for fun. i don’t. so i built peek. - ai-first: an ai agent does the number-crunching and pings you with bite-sized nudges instead of guilt-trips - habit loop > dashboard: get weekly “wrapped”-style digests that actually push you towards forming new positive habits, not just remind you you spent too much on coffee - mobile-only rn (ios) bc that’s where gen z actually lives link:…
