Hey HN, I'm Nate, the creator of Tamagui. One is a React framework that does two things differently in hopes of simplifying how we build websites and apps: 1. It unifies React Native and React web with typed file system routing by making Vite able to serve RN. This lets you share (or diverge) your code in a simpler way for cross-platform apps. 2. We've partnered with Zero (https://zerosync.dev) to make local-first work well. We've been building a solution in One that makes Zero supporting server rendering, without waterfalls, and with seamless server/client handoff. ---…

Demo video: https://youtu.be/hutUYDkyE_A How it works: 1) Iterate through each node in the selected DOM tree, 2) For each element, find any matching CSS selectors / inline styles, 3) Use window.getComputedStyle to get the deterministic values, 4) Construct JSX It was pretty hard producing the minimal code necessary while maintaining the same visual look. To do this, we implemented things like abstracting out…

I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!

Everyone's shipping AI tools right now, and here I am with a visual editor. Still, I think many teams are very familiar with the problem of "marketing wants to change the landing page again." I've run into this for years. Campaign pages come in, engineers get pulled in, and tickets stack up. It's usually the same components, just rearranged. A few years ago, at a startup I worked at, we built an internal tool to deal with this. You register your existing React components, they show up as drag-and-drop blocks, and the result is a JSX string. No schema to learn, no changes to your component…
