Hey guys! We're building Yime. It's basically a way to let your friends see when you're free this week and hit you up with potential plans. And even make group (squad) plans. Easier than texting everyone and trying to figure out when everyone is free.. and never actually come around doing that. App would let you pick friends and find common free time as well. I love the looks and UX of the Google calendar. But I wanted to have a version I could use more freely in my own projects, still looking similar to the one from Google.

Howdy HN, As a small side project, I built a small app to share weekly time schedules. It's been useful for me to help schedule meeting and share semester schedules with friends. I bought the birthdays.app domain a few years ago and decided to build a simple birthday app, just text message reminders. I had hacked together a duct-tape version for myself a couple years prior (using zapier + google sheets), and found it useful. It was a pain sifting through Facebook birthdays (90% irrelevant), and I found the text reminders simpler than a calendar.
