Hey Everybody! Hope you had a merry christmas Today I had a bit of fun with Claude. Started by scraping YC's startups list, then ran them through OpenAI's embedding service, then UMAP'd the embedding to reduce the dimension to just two coordinates and then just forced Claude to write React that would compile to visualize that. I had fun and I think it's interesting, so take a look! Also note that you won't be able to zoom on mobile (found about this Plotly limitation way too late). If there's interest I can fix this issue by changing plotting libs tomorrow :) Merry christmas

I got sick of the old software development loop: Change code -> Run tests -> wait -> wait some more -> look at failures. I decided to build a tool that will enable you to: Change code -> look at failures. No wait time, no explicit test running. Under the hood: - Runs the whole test suite and collects code coverage per test. - For each auto file save, analyzes the changes on the tests. - Runs changed tests in the background. - Display results, the loop time from change to test results is approx 250ms. A little idea I got from playing with AI SWE Agents. Can AI help make sure we understand the code that our AIs write? PR Quiz uses AI to generate a quiz from a pull request and blocks you from merging until the quiz is passed. You can configure various options like the LLM model to use, max number of attempts to pass the quiz or min diff size to generate a quiz for. I found that the reasoning models, while more expensive, generated better questions from my limited testing. I've been blown away by speech-to-speech LLMs lately and was looking for a fun little website to build. Enter mock YC interviews. When I first applied to YC, I used iPG (https://jamescun.github.io/iPG/) to practice and get comfortable with the YC-style interview. Spoiler: I ended up getting in. At my work they provided a single Claude subscription for everyone on the team. To be honest I like kiro better as it provides a way better SDD management. But the company can't provide it and I can't afford it yet. Turns out I had the skill creator skill in my claude instance so I made use of it to create this Skill.
