An CLI for exploring data of a kafka cluster.

  1. 1YA

Yōzefu is an interactive terminal user interface (TUI) for exploring data of a kafka cluster. It is an alternative tool to AKHQ, redpanda console or the kafka plugin for JetBrains IDEs. The tool is built on top of Ratatui, a Rust library for building TUIs. Yozefu offers interesting features such as: - Real-time access to data published to topics. - The ability to search kafka records across multiple topics. - A search query language inspired by SQL providing fine-grained filtering capabilities. - The possibility to extend the search engine with user-defined filters written in WebAssembly…

Hi HN! I wanted to share Yakari, a tool I built to make command-line interfaces more approachable through interactive TUIs. If you've ever forgotten CLI flags or needed to look up command syntax, this might help. Yakari turns complex commands into interactive menus. Users can navigate through options with simple key presses instead of memorizing complex command structures. If you've used Emacs and Magit (or any other Transient) before, the interface will feel familiar. Features: - Transform CLIs into guided menus - Create custom menus for any CLI - Support for flags, named parameters,…

We built Gonzo to make log analysis faster and friendlier in the terminal. Think of it like k9s for logs — a TUI that can ingest JSON, text, or OpenTelemetry (OTLP) logs, highlight and boil up patterns, and even run AI models locally or via API to summarize logs. We’re still iterating, so ideas and contributions are welcome!

Hey folks, I'm super excited to announce the release of a new UI for Apache Kafka, Confluent, Redpanda and Kinesis that focuses on Teams and Data Mesh. (Note: the desktop version is also very popular with individual developers!) Why is this important? Because providing a solution that can be used by both IT and business (non-technical) users is essential when building applications that process business data. Of course, we are mainly developers working on Kadeck. So you won't miss any of the features you need to troubleshoot and monitor Kafka and your applications. In fact, we have put a lot…

i always loved looking up the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (OEIS) when researching a sequence of numbers. so I decided to make a TUI and CLI for it so that I can browse sequences in the terminal. it supports almost all the features on the site (including the OEIS Webcam) and supports graphs, a preview pane, exporting and bookmarks. more features here: https://github.com/hako/oeis-tui?tab=readme-ov-file#features repo: https://github.com/hako/oeis-tui gitHub releases: https://github.com/hako/oeis-tui/releases cargo:…

Hey HN, I'm Brandon, a solo dev, and I built KubeForge - a visual editor for Kubernetes deployments that helps you build and validate YAML configs. Origin Story: Over the past couple weeks, I got fed up manually writing Kubernetes YAMLs, especially when working with nested structures like containers, env, and volumeMounts. Even small typos or misaligned fields added lost time to broken deploys. So I started hacking together a tool to visualize the structure of Kubernetes objects based on the OpenAPI schema. That prototype quickly turned into a full manifest builder. What KubeForge does: -…

Hi HN, I’m a solo content-creator/Blender user and developed this tool as an easy way to manage and render multiple Blender renders locally. The TUI portion is written in TypeScript because it gave me a good way to build the front end that allowed for some complex components in a language that I was intimately familiar with, and the portions that interact with Blender are actually Python scripts.

It is a kind of grep for YAML and JSON files. It allows you to search for a key and get the value and the line number where it is located. I created this tool because I sometimes struggle to find specific keys in typical i18n rails yamls. In the views, you don't always have the whole key, but it is extrapolated from the context. I am sure there are other use cases; I hope you find it useful. Cheers!
