Products that do what Zuckerman – minimalist personal AI agent that self-edits its own code does
Hi HN, I'm building Zuckerman: a personal AI agent that starts ultra-minimal and can improve itself in real time by editing its own files (code + configuration). Agents can also share useful discoveries and improvements with each other. Repo: https://github.com/zuckermanai/zuckerman The motivation is to build something dead-simple and approachable, in contrast to projects like OpenClaw, which is extremely powerful but has grown complex: heavier setup, a large codebase, skill ecosystems, and ongoing security discussions. Zuckerman flips that: 1. Starts with almost nothing…

Moadim is an open-source loop engine for AI agents — runs Claude, Codex, Hermes, or Pi on a schedule, over MCP and REST.

For almost two years, we've been developing Charlie, a coding agent that is autonomous, cloud-based, and focused primarily on TypeScript development. During that time, the explosion in growth and development of LLMs and agents has surpassed even our initially very bullish prognosis. When we started Charlie, we were one of the only teams we knew fully relying on agents to build all of our code. We all know how that has gone — the world has caught up, but working with agents hasn't been all kittens and rainbows, especially for fast moving teams. The one thing we've noticed over the last 3…

Hi HN, I'm one of the creators of Nanobrowser, an open-source Chrome extension that lets you automate web tasks using AI agents. We were inspired by the potential of tools like OpenAI's Operator, but we wanted something that was: -Open-Source:You can see the code, modify it, and contribute to the project. -Browser-Based:No complex setups or server deployments. It runs directly in your browser. -Customizable:You can tailor the agent's behavior to your specific needs. -BYO LLM:Bring your own large language model API key (OpenAI, Anthropic,or even local models), No vendor lock-in. -Privacy…

I got tired of coding agents that feel like IDEs in disguise. Slow to start, full of chrome, opinionated about where you work. So I built one that doesn't get in the way. It's called *mini-coder*. The command is `mc`. Tagline: Small. Fast. Gets out of your way. Oh — and it mostly wrote itself (with some help from me). --- ## What it is mini-coder is a terminal-native AI coding agent built on *Bun.js* — fast startup, native TypeScript, built-in SQLite, no ceremony. It routes to *Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Ollama, and Zen* and auto-detects your provider from env vars. No config file to write.…

For context, we started working on our general AI agent CraftBot before OpenClaw came out. It works similarly to OpenClaw and Hermes agent: control your PC to do task + memory + proactivity. However, here is the catch: it can create and operate its own SaaS tools with the concept of Living UI Living UI is a system where an AI agent can scaffold and launch real, working web apps on demand. Each living UI can be a dashboard/software/internal tool. They are essentially just frontend with X techstack talking to a backend + database with the techstack of your choice, spun up in its own…

There's been some interesting work lately with BrowserAI (runs LLMs in the browser using WebGPU) enabling local, private AI processing. Now, the team has released BrowserAgent - a no-code tool built on top of it. BrowserAgent lets you create custom AI workflows using a drag-and-drop interface, all within your browser. This means personalized web summarizers, research assistants, or content generators can all run locally with no cloud costs and full data privacy. Check it out here - https://browseragent.dev Key features include: - No-Code Workflow Builder: Design custom AI agents…

Hey there, My name is Clem, I've been a solo indie dev for a couple years now, exploring frontier tech like XR and agentic workflows in the context of creative / interactive work. I've been building creation tools for a while and some common design challenge is to figure out the right level of abstraction for your tool. You can always make it super advanced and complex with low level concepts (shader composition, actual code etc.) but then you get something with a high complexity / learning curve. On the other hand, if you make your tool too high level, it might be easier to use at…

I put together a directory of agentic coding tools & things like autonomous app builders, CLI agents, VSCode copilots, and multi-agent dev platforms. Most of these tools can plan, scaffold, and write code with minimal input. Some are polished, some experimental. I wanted a way to compare them all in one place. You can filter by autonomy level, LLMs used, pricing, open source, etc. It’s a compact UI—works on mobile, has dark mode, and no signups or fluff. Would love feedback: Are there tools I’ve missed? Anything that should be organized differently? Info you wish was included? Cheers.
