27 developer job sites

http://careers.sh My weekend project - I put together a small, straightforward site for browsing developer job sites. Any feedback would be appreciated; I'm trying to keep this short and simple. The last thing I want to do is end up turning this into yet-another-aggregator.

27 developer job sites launched on January 18, 2012 with 10 votes, #88 of 306 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was not reachable when checked in September 2026.

In plain words

27 developer job sites is a simple directory for browsing job boards dedicated to developer roles. Built as a weekend project, it curates links to specialized career sites rather than aggregating job listings. The tool is designed for developers seeking employment opportunities across multiple platforms in one straightforward reference.

I started JobBoardSearch about four years ago as a simple directory of niche job boards (A static HTML file with a dozen job boards) One particular think I'm proud of: I didn't scrape these niche job boards and add them to a dabatabase. The 800+ job boards currently listed were submitted organically by their ownres. Lots of their job boards provide a job feed (API, XML or RSS), I fetch those feeds and use the data in serveral different ways. Each job board has its own page in JBS, where I show jobs from that board. I call this the "meta" part of the site. The same feed powers a few other…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I have been taking Andrew Ng's Machine Learning course. The lecture module on Neural Networks ends with an intriguing video of the ALVINN autonomous car driving itself along normal roads at CMU in the mid 90s. I was inspired by that video to see what I could build myself. A link to my incomplete write up was posted a couple of weeks ago (ouch!) but I finally finished it and open sourced the code tonight (so you can build your own self driving car).
