Screen Studio is a menu-bar screen recorder for macOS. Auto-zoom follows your cursor and clicks; backdrops, a bold cursor, keystroke overlay and webcam bubble render live at 60fps, so there is no post-production. It records system audio with no virtual driver, lets you draw on screen mid-recording, then trim in a multi-clip timeline and export MP4, MOV or GIF. Zooms where you click, pans smoothly with spring physics, and zooms back out when you pause. Pick the zoom level and the idle delay; set 1.0× to turn it off. Three backdrops — Midnight, Sunset, Graphite — with padding and rounded corners, like a product shot. The keys you press appear as a pill at the bottom of the frame, right in the video. I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers.
