9front (plan9) gopher server

My gopher server is running on different thin clients since march 2016. Serving a wide range of plan9 related content and other stuff, like a local weather meteogram. Best viewed with the LYNX text browser. So give it a visit, and mail me what else do you want to see about plan9. There's also a webserver running on it. Have fun!

I'm relatively new to Go, but recently got interested in how MCP servers work. I started thinking about what the architecture of such a project might look like, and decided to build a minimalist version as an experiment. I based it on my past experience writing regular REST API servers and figured it might be useful or interesting to others as well.

    EdgeNode – Global Serverless Deployments2023 · edgenode.dev · ▲8

Hey HN, we're Sebastian and Mish and we are working on EdgeNode - A global serverless deployment platform. Typically, most applications are hosted in a single location. This makes the experience worse for the users based further away due to high latency. Higher latency leads to decreased conversion rates, impairs user interactions and ultimately reduces customer satisfaction. Amazon and Google operate their services globally to eliminate this issue and increase service reliablity. However, setting up and maintaining such an infrastructure is technically challenging and very costly. With…

Hi all, founder @ Retool here. We initially launched Retool on HN five years ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=14515494. The feedback was extraordinarily helpful then (e.g. we launched source control, on-prem, etc. based on HN comments), and we’re grateful for all of it. Today, we’re excited to get HN’s thoughts on one of our new products: Retool Mobile. It lets you build and deploy mobile apps in minutes, not days. The idea is there is a large class of line-of-business mobile apps, and the process of getting a simple form + button on a mobile device, in a native app,…
