A community-curated list of BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) vendors

Hi HN, I’m from the team at Nuon. While building in the Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) space, we realized there wasn't a centralized, community-driven resource like awesome-selfhosted.net for managed software that lives in the customer's VPC. We hope software vendors will open a PR and add their BYOC offerings.

In plain words

A community-curated directory of Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) vendors, modeled after awesome-selfhosted.net. The list catalogues managed software solutions that run within customers' own virtual private clouds rather than vendor-hosted infrastructure. Hosted on GitHub, it invites software vendors to contribute their BYOC offerings through pull requests, creating a centralized resource for teams evaluating deployment options that keep data within their own cloud environments.

Hey all, Andy from the Deno team here. We're excited to share with you Deno Subhosting, an easy way to extend your platforms functionality by securely running untrusted JavaScript written by your users. When we first launched Deno Deploy in 2021, we were surprised at the volume of requests from companies about getting access to the APIs needed to run Deno Deploy. Many companies wanted to give their users the ability to write custom logic in their app, but setting this up in the cloud presents security concerns and a ton of infra work/maintenance. We realized that there was an…

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
