A non-VC backed content creation and social media platform
Hey HN, I'm soft launching my MVP today and would love to hear your honest feedback. For the past few months I've been working extremely hard on this side hustle in my spare time (I have a day job as a CTO). I'm building a platform for writers, bloggers and content creators that's built for them rather than for investors and advertisers like most similar products and social media platforms backed by VCs. I wrote about why I built it here: https://persumi.com/c/persumi/u/fredwu/p/welcome-to-persumi-... And the landing page is here:…

In plain words
Persumi is a content creation and social media platform designed for writers, bloggers, and creators. Built as an independent project rather than a venture-backed platform, it prioritizes creator needs over advertiser interests. The MVP launched in soft release mode to gather user feedback on its core functionality and approach to content sharing and community building.

MirrApr 2026 · mirra.my · ▲42Hi HN! I'm Tae, a solo developer from Seoul. I've been building Mirra for the past year. The problem: creating consistent social media content is a massive time sink for small businesses and creators. Writing posts, designing carousels, editing videos – it takes hours every week. Mirra lets you go from a raw idea to ready-to-publish content in minutes: - Type an idea or paste a URL → AI generates carousel slides, short-form video scripts, and captions - Supports Threads, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok - Built-in scheduler to publish directly The core insight was that most…
Postel2025 · postel.app · ▲111Hey HN! We built Postel because posting consistently on X was taking way too much time and mental energy. With Postel you can: - get personalized post ideas in your voice - see how other creators would write your idea - turn YouTube/videos/articles/podcasts into short posts - repurpose your existing content & brand knowledge - browse thousands of viral tweets → draft, edit, and schedule posts Would love to hear what you think! Cheers!
Discuit – A Reddit alternative with a clean UI and a sensible vision2023 · discuit.net · ▲53Hi HN, this is a platform (Discuit, pronounced "diskette") I've been working on for about two years. I initially built it for a niche demographic (my native country). But now with Reddit going dark and people looking for a new place to migrate to, I'm doing a quick launch today. A few quick things: 1. I don't believe federated platforms will ever become mainstream. They have a whole host of problems, not the least of which is that they're too complicated for most people to use. This platform is not, therefore, federated. 2. I don't know what the best way of monetizing a thing like this is. I…
- PTPlace to support and validate early startup ideas2022 · ideas.dynamate.io · ▲52
I made this for people like myself who keep a list of ideas for apps / startups. I also made it for people who are curious to see what projects others have "in their drawer"... and who may want to have a say in which idea should see the light of day. https://ideas.dynamate.io/ The site allows creators to anonymously showcase their idea: Title. Description text. Maybe some mockups... I've tried to make it so that it's quick and easy to just dump an idea in there that's been sitting on some list of yours for months - and hopefully get some feedback on it. If someone else on…
- ICI cloned a YC funded app in a day as an MVP2025 · ai-tutor.mvpwrappers.com · ▲28
I saw this app youlearn.ai on YC and thought of building it. They are claiming to have 1M+ users with just one feature which is to convert your learning material into summaries, quizzes etc. I gave this a shot and cloned almost most of the features in just 9+ hours of continous vibe coding (with 20% manual though). Now I'm selling this on mvp marketplace. Might probably open source it in future or give it free.

I saw this [0] pretty cool thread by user revskill, and wanted a quicker way to search through it, but also to keep them all in one place so I can read them at my leisure whenever I get time. Right now is like 60 lines of Ruby using Nokogiri, but I will certainly look into it further down the line and improve the list. There's a cronjob checking the thread every 12 hours but I will eventually shut that down and it will become static after that. There are some really awesome blogs in there. I really recommend going through the list, it made my day. [0] "Could you share your personal blog…
