A simple 'lost & found' side project

I started foundcamera.com as a basic weekend project a little while back. I hoped to help a few people out and potentially facilitate some great success stories. I thought it improved upon what's out there already as it's super simple (no signup) and it puts the geographic element at the centre of helping people to find & return treasured photographs to their owners. It's recently picked up in popularity and I'm adding more lost and found items and seeing several hundred visitors each day. No successes as of yet. It's recently picked up in popularity and I'm adding more lost and found items and seeing several hundred visitors each day. No successes as of yet. Any suggestions for getting more people to play detective and help return items? I want to get some green pins on the map! Are there any non-intrusive ways I could monetize it? Not to make a profit but at least to break even. How could I improve it for v1.1? Thanks

    Hi all, about a month ago my wife was complaining about how annoying all of the photo sharing services were. Either the UI was overly complicated or it would ask people to register for the service before they could view the photos, etc. So I decided to build something dead-simple that she could use. There are no frills. You just create an album and email it around. The link goes directly to the photos.     This was more of a sandbox to play with Raphael and Flot than anything else but I think there are some interesting statistics in there. It'd be awesome to do this over time but I really don't have the spare time required.

    So a while ago I was thinking it would be neat to build a site that had the most absolute utility. The idea I came up with was a site to store those little protips that are super useful, if you know them ahead of time. I hired a guy to work on it with me, and ClueDB was born: http://cluedb.com/ Please give it a whirl (it uses Twitter auth as login but doesn't tweet anything) and tell me what you think!
