A simple 'lost & found' side project

I started foundcamera.com as a basic weekend project a little while back. I hoped to help a few people out and potentially facilitate some great success stories. I thought it improved upon what's out there already as it's super simple (no signup) and it puts the geographic element at the centre of helping people to find & return treasured photographs to their owners. It's recently picked up in popularity and I'm adding more lost and found items and seeing several hundred visitors each day. No successes as of yet. This last weekend I finally managed to find a few hours to work on it and I've just finished putting the code into production. The site lets you choose some pictures from your Facebook photos and then it will let other users vote on them, as long as they know your URL. This way you can find your best picture. I got to pondering the quickest way to save a random image so I could get to it on all of my devices, got a wee bit carried away with the technical possibilities, and this was the result.     My weekend hack project was to put together a small web app for sharing links in the spirit of memepool.com. It uses a bookmarklet to let people clip interesting articles to share while reading and uses a subset of markdown to add links and blockquotes to posts. It also uses oEmbed to pull in content from popular sites (youtube, slideshare, vimeo, etc) and API integrations to show tweets. It was fun to build - I'd love feedback.
