A simple wireless power demonstration circuit

A simple wireless power demonstration circuit launched on August 1, 2023 with 8 votes, #1,713 of 4,347 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 3 years on.

What it does

The core principal behind most wireless power systems is electromagnetic induction, where current flowing through a coil generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic field generates current in a coil. An important aspect of induction is that the field has to change over time to create voltage on the coil and to transmit power. This means that while it is technically possible to use DC, it is super impractical to transmit any thing more than a tiny pulse of power like this. The only way it would work continuously is if the coils were made out of a super conductor and the power supply could provide infinite current. This method works, but it is very inefficient, because only a tiny fraction of…from 10maurycy10.github.io

  • Outlines is a Python library that focuses on text generation with large language models. Brandon and I are not LLM experts and started the project a few months ago because we wanted to understand better how the generation process works. Our original background is probabilistic, relational and symbolic programming. Recently we came up with a fast way to generate text that matches a regex (https://blog.normalcomputing.ai/posts/2023-07-27-regex-guide...). The basic idea is simple: regular expressions have an equivalent Deterministic-Finite Automaton (DFA) representation. We…
