A parallel in-browser functional programming framework
What it does
A parallel functional programming framework for in-browser processing of enumerations of business entities. If you are looking for a low-friction way to tackle multithreading in the browser, this is your ticket in.

Directed acyclic graphs are muched discussed in comp-sci, but octopus appears to be the first reusable, turnkey, ready-to-wear, off-the-shelf implementation of a DAG for application development, in any language, that I'm aware of. This is remarkable because DAGs hit a sweet spot in the middle of the three common programming paradigms (OO, event-driven, functional). Let's have a DAG as the top-level structure of our applications. Data-fetching and onChange handlers live in DAG nodes, next to the data they act on. The UI flows out from the DAG with fine-grained reactivity. Our app state is…

- MCMatrix-CRDT – real-time collaborative apps using Matrix as backend2022 · github.com · ▲320
Hi HN! Matrix-CRDT connects the worlds of Yjs [1] (a proven, high performance CRDT) with that of Matrix.org [2]. It started as an experiment, asking myself; can we store "state updates of a datastore" in Matrix instead of chat messages? Now, I'm convinced it's actually a really powerful combination to develop real-time, collaborative software. I'm using it for a new project and so far didn't have to write a backend yet. Matrix takes care of a lot of stuff: Authentication, E2EE, federation, hosting, etc. - so I can focus on the client. I love the ideas of Local First [3] software. Personally,…
- OSOpen-source browser for AI agentsMar 2026 · github.com · ▲155
Hi HN, I forked chromium and built agent-browser-protocol (ABP) after noticing that most browser-agent failures aren’t really about the model misunderstanding the page. Instead, the problem is that the model is reasoning from a stale state. ABP is designed to keep the acting agent synchronized with the browser at every step. After each action (click, type, etc), it freezes JavaScript execution and rendering, then captures the resulting state. It also compiles the notable events that occurred during that action loop, such as navigation, file pickers, permission prompts, alerts, and downloads,…
- MMMuscle-Mem, a behavior cache for AI agents2025 · github.com · ▲226
Hi HN! Erik here from Pig.dev, and today I'd like to share a new project we've just open sourced: Muscle Mem is an SDK that records your agent's tool-calling patterns as it solves tasks, and will deterministically replay those learned trajectories whenever the task is encountered again, falling back to agent mode if edge cases are detected. Like a JIT compiler, for behaviors. At Pig, we built computer-use agents for automating legacy Windows applications (healthcare, lending, manufacturing, etc). A recurring theme we ran into was that businesses already had RPA (pure-software scripts), and…

- TITetris in a PDF▲1,289
I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…
