Accessibility Scanner

Honest accessibility scans. Real results, no fake compliance

Accessibility Scanner launched on June 30, 2026 with 3 votes, #6,658 of 22,647 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.

What it does

Paste any URL and get a real accessibility audit: every failing element outlined, every WCAG criterion graded by conformance level, powered by axe-core in a full Chrome render. No signup, no email wall, no "you're compliant" badge — it tells you exactly what's broken and what still needs a human. Free scanner, Chrome extension, npm CLI / GitHub Action for CI, and an MCP server for AI coding agents.

A digital accessibility scanner and analyzer for any website. Real axe-core auditing that reports exactly what is failing, and never fakes compliance.

Paste any website URL. We load the page in a real browser, run axe-core, and show every issue with the exact element that's failing and how to fix it. Overlays hide problems. We point right at them. Counts by severity, mapped to WCAG criteria, with a pass/fail matrix. Run it twice on the same page and you get the same answer. Automated testing catches the machine-checkable issues. We flag what needs a human instead of claiming 100%, and the WAVE alternative comparison shows where that line falls. This report passes its own accessibility checks: semantic, keyboard-navigable, high-contrast. We use the thing we sell. The web scanner is one way in. The same engine also runs in your browser,…from accessibilityscanner.app

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

  • Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
