AI-powered shelf intelligence for retail execution
AiMerch • Retail in Motion launched on May 19, 2026 with 1 votes.
What it does
AI Merch transforms retail shelf audits with AI-powered computer vision, real-time shelf intelligence, and advanced video scanning. Unlike manual merchandising tools, it automates product detection, shelf share analysis, pricing verification, stock monitoring, and competitive tracking across physical stores. Brands and distributors gain actionable retail execution insights to improve sales, optimize placement, and increase operational transparency at scale.
See every shelf. Sell more. AI Merch reads every product on the shelf from a single photo, flagging empty slots and lost facings so brands and distributors fix out-of-stocks and grow share before it costs the sale.

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
