What it does
Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) is an open protocol that builds on A2A, Agent to Agent Protocol. AP2 was developed by Google with leading payments and technology companies to securely initiate and transact agent-led payments across platforms.

Today, Google announced the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), an open protocol developed with leading payments and technology companies to securely initiate and transact agent-led payments across platforms. The protocol can be used as an extension of the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol and Model Context Protocol (MCP). In concert with industry rules and standards, it establishes a payment-agnostic framework for users, merchants, and payments providers to transact with confidence across all types of payment methods. We’re collaborating with a diverse group of more than 60 organizations to help shape the future of agentic payments, including Adyen, American Express, Ant International, Coinbase, Etsy,…from cloud.google.com

A2A Protocol2025 · github.com · ▲109Hi HN, I am an independent open-source researcher. For the past few months, I've been building a2a-project, an experimental economic layer for autonomous AI agents on the Base Mainnet. The Problem: AI evolution is exponential, while human regulation is linear. If agents become economic actors, they will transact at speeds and granularities that traditional fiat rails cannot handle. We need a native protocol to bridge this "Speed Gap" and ensure stability. The Experiment (Quantum-Humanistic Economics): I implemented a novel mechanism into Solidity smart contracts: Quantum Task Buffer: Work…

Trust Protocols for Anthropic/OpenAI/GeminiFeb 2026 · mnemom.ai · ▲40Much of my work right now involves complex, long-running, multi-agentic teams of agents. I kept running into the same problem: “How do I keep these guys in line?” Rules weren’t cutting it, and we needed a scalable, agentic-native STANDARD I could count on. There wasn’t one. So I built one. Here are two open-source protocols that extend A2A, granting AI agents behavioral contracts and runtime integrity monitoring: - Agent Alignment Protocol (AAP): What an agent can do / has done. - Agent Integrity Protocol (AIP): What an agent is thinking about doing / is allowed to do. The problem:…

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
