APM — Advanced Process Manager

Production Process Manager for Linux — Any Language

APM — Advanced Process Manager launched on March 30, 2026.

What it does

APM is a language-agnostic process manager for Linux. Supervise Node.js, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP — any executable that runs on Linux. Built-in reverse proxy, rate limiting, TLS, file watcher, and live GUI. One static binary, zero dependencies, zero config.

APM is a language-agnostic process manager for Linux with built-in inter-worker IPC. Supervise Node.js, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP — any executable. Reverse proxy, rate limiting, TLS, file watcher, live GUI, and cross-language IPC channels & streams. One static binary, zero dependencies, zero config.

Supervise any process in any language — Node.js, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP, or anything else that runs on Linux. Proxy HTTP/WS/TCP/UDP, rate-limit, and monitor everything from a single static binary. APM now ships with built-in inter-worker IPC — message channels and persistent bidirectional streams, routed through the daemon, across any language. No sockets to configure, no broker to run, no ports to open. A Node.js WebSocket worker can hand a live console stream to a Python background job; a PHP request can query a Go service and get the first reply back in milliseconds. Meet augur — APM's startup-failure diagnostician. When a worker crashes during boot, augur classifies the error…from processmanager.dev

Hi HN, I built a small Linux CLI tool called witr (Why Is This Running?). The idea came from a situation most of us have hit: you log into a machine, see a process or port running, and immediately wonder why it exists, who started it, and what is keeping it alive right now. witr traces a process, service, or port back to its origin and responsibility chain and explains it in a way that’s quick to read, especially when you’re debugging under pressure. This is v0.1.0. It’s intentionally small and focused. Feedback, criticism, and edge cases are very welcome. Repo:…

A lightweight engine for durable execution / deterministic workflows I built with Rust, wasmtime and the WASM Component Model. Its main use is running reliable, long-running workflows that can automatically resume after failures. Looking for feedback on the approach and potential use cases!

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
