Minimalistic progressive overload and nutrition tracker

What it does

I built this for me: progressive overload tracking and calorie/macro logging without subscription bullshit. Simple cut/bulk/maintain plans with daily targets. No gamification, no upsells, no hand-holding. If you're past the beginner phase and need a tool that gets out of your way, use it. If not, don't. Free forever.

    MTOR – A free, local-first PWA to automate workout progressionOct 2025 · mtor.club · ▲7

Hi HN, My motivation for this came from frustration with existing workout trackers. Most felt clunky, hid core features like performance graphs behind a paywall, or forced a native app download. A few people close to me who take their training seriously shared the same sentiment, so I decided to build my own. I'm working on mTOR, a free, science-based workout tracker I built to automate progressive overload. The no bullshit approach to tracking your fitness progress2014 · ▲5

Hello HN, I wanted a simple app to track my fitness progress. Every fitness tracker in the AppStore had too many features for my liking so I made fit-stitch (Free, iOS). It allows you to take snapshots and attach a weight and date to each one. When you've made some progress you can create a before and after picture with a few taps. Hope you find it useful. www.fit-stitch.com

I don't normally do this but after submitting this through the usual mechanism and having it quickly vanish off the New list, I figured it was worth a shot. * I do not have any affiliation with this site * These guys need and deserve our support. The work they are doing is pretty outstanding, the amount of quality content is incredible. The site itself is well designed, clean and top-notch. The content is truly outstanding. They are also doing it right, IMO - aka no ads at all - and entirely donation driven. Hence this post... check them out, and hopefully toss them a dollar if you find it…
