What it does
Aurora turns your Mac notch or top edge into a private productivity dock for quick actions: notes, clipboard, calendar, focus timers, media controls, widgets, and writing tools. Works on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, including non-notch Macs via the top edge. Start with 72 hours of Pro, no account and no card. Private by design: your data stays on your Mac.
Turn your Mac notch into a private control center — notes, clipboard, calendar, focus timers, media, and widgets. Native, local-first, free 72-hour Pro trial.
Control music, check your calendar, save clipboard items, jot notes, and run focus timers from the top of your screen — without leaving the app you are using. "Onboarding flow feedback — tighten first-run permission copy." Design review moved to Tuesday. Prepare onboarding flow, paywall copy, and 72-hour trial copy. This is a live preview — the real thing runs at the top of your screen. Download Aurora free Change a song, save a clip, start a timer, check the next meeting, or jot a note without opening another full app. Common actions open from the top edge, so the current window keeps its place. Media, calendar, timers, and notes stay compact until a task needs more room.…from auroranotch.com

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
