Solve the world's toughest problems using data science

Bayes Impact launched on July 8, 2014 with 119 votes, #186 of 2,263 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 12 years on.

What it does

The leading nonprofit for AI in public services — Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, our open-source AI solutions have been trusted by governments and nonprofits around the world, and served millions of citizens.

The first open-source AI agent platform built for public services. The caseworker never switches tools: the agent lives inside the business application they already use and calls official reference data through verified tools. Trained caregivers start from a pre-validated base and build their own use cases. IT keeps the path to production without being the bottleneck. One platform for every ministry, citizen agents in local languages and voice notes, and the paper archives digitized behind them. The Bayes Platform gives any social or public organization the ability to deploy AI agents that strictly follow their own protocols, resources, and guardrails , not whatever the model picked up from…from bayesimpact.org
