BeenThereDoneThat is a platform for finding mentors. This is the place to get help in professional-related matter. We use problem-based advice request as a lightweight and non-binding way to introduce mentors and mentees.
Folks seeking mentors leave an 'Advice Request', where they describe the concrete problem they experience. Potential mentors can view Advice Request and express interest to help. A mentor and a mentee are automatically introduced via the email and can start an informal (no pressure!) chat. Giving just a small tip/advice on the problem is more than enough. If the mentee liked the advice and applied it, she will get back with the results and the conversation can continue. No commitments and enforcing 'mentor' role.
