Berlin Swapfest – Electronics flea market
Hey HN, After scrounging the local classifieds and our version of Craigslist to find pre-owned equipment and getting frustrated I decided that there needs to be a flea market but for electronics tools and homelab stuff. The Berlin Swapfest follows in the same spirit as the MIT Swapfest! I’ve partners with a long time hacker space in Berlin c-base who will be hosting this event! Would love for local hackers to come by and buy and sell their old gear! Details on the site!

In plain words
Berlin Swapfest is an electronics flea market hosted at c-base hackerspace where buyers and sellers can exchange pre-owned equipment, tools, and homelab gear. Inspired by the MIT Swapfest, it addresses the difficulty of finding used electronics through conventional classifieds. The event is designed for local hackers and enthusiasts looking to buy, sell, or trade hardware and equipment.

From the sources
The Berlin Swapfest is a place for people to buy, sell, and swap electronics, computer equipment, and tools.
In association with c-base — the oldest discovered space station under Berlin — now long-running ( 30 years ) hackerspace, we're hosting a quarterly second-hand electronics flea market. In tune with the spirit of right-to-repair as well as reuse-reduce-recycle, the goal of the Berlin Swapfest is for people to bring electronics, equipment, and tools they no longer use but wish to bring to a good home. If you've been trying to find the perfect equipment to build your home-lab or looking for new electronic components, music equipment or tools, this is the place for you. Berlin Swapfest is inspired by the MIT Swapfest , now celebrating their 40th anniversary. We will try to make things…from swapfest.berlin

This is a project I solo-developed that turns completed PCB assemblies into an easy to use boardview with some accompanying boardscans. There are lots of easier and better ways of doing this, but this is an experimentation to do it as cheaply as possible, with the highest quality and lowest chance of errors. The technical details are in the link. Most public boardviews are almost entirely the result of industrial espionage, other than a few encrypted subscription based software platforms that provide extensive access. The process output is released as donationware, as my main…
