BetterWrite
So this weekend I and a friend of mine (@ronitrajfr) created a minimalist writing editor. It's ui is clean, beautiful and distraction free, it also has a vim mode and everything stays on your computer no authentication is required to write your thoughts and all we wanted an application where we just start typing with no BS and that's what we made. and did I tell ya that it's open source as well lmk your thoughts and feedback!!
BetterWrite launched on December 15, 2025 with 134 votes, #217 of 11,628 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches.
What it does
BetterWrite offers a beautiful, distraction-free writing environment designed for those who value simplicity and focus. With Vim keybindings, users can enjoy a familiar and efficient editing experience. The editor supports multiple fonts and includes a dark mode for comfortable writing in low-light conditions.

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
