BiblioSpot launched on November 13, 2018 with 3 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 7 years on.

What it does

BiblioSpot - Online Platform for Writing Sermon Notes - Inline bible verses, organise by series, download your notes for later.

Software Developer from Glasgow, Scotland. Primarily working with Laravel, Statamic, Vue.js and Tailwind CSS. Part of the Statamic Core Team.

BiblioSpot was a web app that let you take sermon notes. It was the first application I built when I was learning to code. When writing your note, it would display the bible verse at the side for reference. You could also group notes by sermon series. The app never had a great amount of usage - it was really just me and one other person. It featured an app on the Amazon App Store (since I had a Fire tablet at the time), in fact, the app's still live on the Appfrom duncanmcclean.com

Deployed using render.com, the app is available at https://biblos.app Note: Search by just topic/keywords, e.g.…

Thank you for your comments, just some context: - The app is available for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and the Web. - The Web version is implemented as a Progressive Web Application that is very responsive, local first, offline first, can be installed, and is entirely free to use. - Native (hybrid) versions do not require subscription fees and have small one-time payment. - You can store your notes in Git using any Git provider such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. However, it has the best built-in integration with GitHub. Self-hosted scenarios like Gitea are also…
