What it does
All the things you need have a URL and you access them inside a browser. With BrainTool you can save, tag and link all your online information sources - then see them organized in the BrainTool SidePanel, along with your annotations and notes.
BrainTool is a way of organizing things you want to remember and get back to, using notes and nested Topics. Its also a better way to control your browser.
Organize your tabs and bookmarks into a common set of Topics. Quickly categorize, save and close tabs to unclutter your browser. Incremental search and filtering makes it easy to find things again. Use the Topic Manager to open and close individual tabs or multiple tabs by topic. Intuitive drag and drop from the browser bar into and within the Topic Manager. Fully configureable display including density, font size and darkmode. Free forever at any scale, optional premium features lock after 30 days. It truly feels like the developers KNOW my brain. I checked off every bullet point on my list of needs and then some. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I've tried other options, but…from braintool.org

Long time looker, first time Show-er here! I built the initial BrainTool to scratch a personal itch - to unify my bookmarks and online resources with text-based notes. BrainTool is a browser extension that makes it easy to save pages of interest into a personal 'topic' hierarchy, along with associated notes. Your topics are shown in an editable side panel which can also control the browser - opening…

Hey HN, This is Adrian and David, and we're excited (and nervous) to show you basetool (https://basetool.io). Basetool helps companies view and manage all their data in one place. Companies have data in tons of places like BI tools, data warehouses, 3rd party services, and their databases. However, because the tools are not connected, it's a hassle to have visibility across the whole organization and even more difficult to safely share that data with the team or external collaborators. The vision is to give basetool access to your data source and get a tool that way above a…

It's been a long slow hog and I almost gave up a few times (more than a few) but when covid hit this year it gave me some time to really focus on my product. There were stupid user journey things that I knew needed fixed. There were some features I knew needed added. And I knew the pricing was wrong. I spent some hardcore time working on these things back in March / April and since then my MRR has continued to grow. My product is SongBox (https://songbox.rocks) - it's an alternative to things like bandcamp and soundcloud for creators who need to share audio files privately.…
