What it does
Builtcert focuses on what happens after a building compliance report is issued. It extracts findings, turns them into actions, keeps them linked to the original recommendation, automates contractor follow-ups, and helps process evidence through to closure. A key difference is that it can assess whether submitted evidence actually addresses the original finding, rather than just recording that a file was uploaded.

Every remedial item inside it still has to be read, re-entered, assigned, issued, followed up, evidenced and closed — across email, a spreadsheet and a system never designed to carry the work. Reports arrive as documents. The remedial items inside have to be found, interpreted and entered by hand before anyone can act on them. An instruction goes out and then waits. I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role.
