CAT - AI Memory for Browser & Email
AI memory for your browser and email. Recall saves instantly
What it does
You read important emails, price quotes, articles — then can't find them a week later. Gmail search only works if you remember the right keywords. CAT fixes this. Highlight anything on any webpage or email, save it, recall it later by asking a question. Works on every website — Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn, Docs, anything Chrome opens. Natural language recall, persistent across sessions, quantum-safe encryption. Free. No credit card. Powered by CogmemAi.

Mail Memories – A desktop app to rescue photos from GmailJul 2026 · mailmemories.com · ▲103Hey HN, I’m the creator of Mail Memories. Like many of you, I've had my Gmail address for more than 20 years. A few years ago, I got curious and wanted to see what photos were buried deep in my account. I ended up finding lots of "lost" pictures of old friends, family members, and a ridiculous number of vintage memes. I originally built and launched this as a SaaS, but even with code and policies in place that kept users' photos private, I figured everyone would feel more comfortable with a desktop app. So, I threw out the server architecture and completely rewrote it as a 100% local desktop…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
