Catalogues Game

Sort seven items by the hidden rule

Catalogues Game launched on June 24, 2026 with 2 votes.

What it does

Catalogues Game is a free browser ordering puzzle where you sort seven shuffled items by discovering the hidden rule. It is compact, no-signup, and built for quick play on mobile or desktop. Unlike recall-heavy trivia, the challenge is choosing the right ordering dimension: time, space, rank, alphabet, number, or word properties.

Play Catalogues Game, a free daily ordering puzzle in your browser. Sort seven items by a hidden rule, use clues, and test your list logic.

This quick set uses original Catalogues Game puzzles. The site does not copy any third-party puzzle content. Sort seven items into the correct order by decoding the hidden rule. Use a clue when you need it, then solve the catalogues game in five guesses or fewer. Original browser puzzles. No signup. Catalogues Game is independent and is not affiliated with any publisher. Each round starts with a title, seven shuffled items, and one hidden sorting rule. Read the list, infer the rule, move items up or down, then check your order. The board stays first because the fastest way to understand a catalogues game is to play one. The notes below explain the rules, common sequence types, and guessing…from cataloguesgame.com

Hey folks, I built Hisorty, a small daily game where you sort historical events in chronological order (strongly inspired by Wordle mechanics). Each day you get 6 events and 3 attempts to place them correctly. I found it surprisingly tricky to design those puzzles so the difficulty is just about right. Would love feedback on: - difficulty balance - UI/UX - whether the concept feels engaging long-term Happy to answer any questions about how I built it.

I like small puzzle games to play on my mobile, (because you can put them away easily as well). But I got really annoyed that a lot of them force feed you advertisements. To counter this I made my own puzzle game, as a progressive web app. This means you can install it on your mobile or desktop as an application, and play offline. After the game is offline ready, no requests should be outgoing except checking for updates of the game. So there is no tracking/reporting going on. This also means I rely on old fashion email to get feedback! The game is build in React + Typescript + Vite,…

  • Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

  • Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
