What it does
CentralTab is a New Tab Chrome Extension with an iPad-like, glassy home screen for shortcuts, folders, widgets, and beautiful wallpapers.
CentralTab gives you a calm, familiar start page — like opening an iPad. Pin your daily sites, group things into folders, and keep a focused dock for essentials. Everything is designed to feel "native", fast, and distraction-free. Drag & drop shortcuts, create folders, and keep multiple pages — so your layout matches how you think. Add widgets like clock, weather, multi-search, radio and more — all styled to sit naturally on a glass surface. A few highlights from the interface — built for daily use. Open a new tab and instantly see a calm start page — not a cluttered dashboard. Your favorites are right where you left them, so you can jump into work in one…from centraltab.com

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
