What it does

ChatGPT has a context window of 4096 tokens. When the conversation exceeds this limit, the model starts to "forget.". This extension adds a box in the corner of the window that displays the number of tokens and words used in the conversation.

This could happen when you are experimenting to jailbreak it or when you want to know the meaning of life.
