What it does
CloudBoost is a small macOS utility for cloud gaming and Mac gaming sessions. It focuses on reversible network, power, and session tuning.
Diagnose ping spikes, jitter, packet loss, VPN routes, Wi-Fi/AWDL and Mac pressure during cloud, remote and native gaming. Free for macOS 12+.
See whether a bad session started on your Mac, Wi-Fi, VPN or route. Capture latency, jitter and system pressure without touching the game. CloudBoost records latency, jitter, route state, packet loss, Wi-Fi/AWDL activity, background traffic and local system pressure. Network Preflight separates the first local hop from the external route. Clean Mac-side signals point you back toward the game, shaders or server. Selected actions are temporary, visible in the session report and restored when the session stops. Session Evidence plots observed latency and jitter, marks threshold events and summarizes p50 and p95. Export a PNG or copy Session Proof for support. Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
