CoDiff
A new productivity tool built around your code
CoDiff launched on May 4, 2019 with 87 votes, #391 of 3,072 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 7 years on.
What it does
CoDiff has live access to all your teammates local changes, greatly improving communication: it notifies you of conflicts with teammates as they occur. Even as an individual, it can still notify you as soon as your changes conflict with upstream commits.

A recent HackerNews comment - “For one programmer's hourly cost, you could run 4000 CPU cores continuously. Hello, everyone! We posted on HackerNews a couple of weeks ago debuting CoDiff (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19593637), a productivity tool centered around your code. Since then, we’ve received a lot of useful feedback from the community that we have integrated with our product. Now, even as an individual, CoDiff (https://CoDiff.com) can boost your productivity by notifying you as soon as your local changes conflict with upstream commits. Conversely, if you do not see a conflict marker on your files within CoDiff, you can rest assured that you will be able to…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
