Coursemate – connect with other self learners
Hey Hacker News! My name is Collin, 18 years old and doing a gap year after finishing high school last year. This was my first real project after starting to learn web development around 5 months ago. I came up with this idea as it was a real pain for me to find other people from my country and especially my age, learning and taking online courses about the same stuff online. Lots of these online courses include their own discord communities and forums, but I still found it very hard to connect with other people in there. Thats why I built Coursemate. I would love to get your feedback on it!…

In plain words
Coursemate is a platform that helps self-learners connect with others studying the same online courses, particularly those in the same country and age group. It addresses the difficulty of finding peers within existing course Discord communities and forums. The platform was built by an 18-year-old developer as his first web development project after beginning to learn the skill five months prior.

Moocable – find people studying the same online course/book2024 · moocable.com · ▲161Hey, everyone I made a website that lets you find study partners/groups based on the specific course/book you are studying. Most posts that I read on Reddit were something like: "I'm interested in programming. Let's study Python together..." - That's not a clear goal. But, when you say "Let's study the Python for Everybody course on Coursera. I'm from Mumbai, India, and I'm looking…

Hi HN, Today we’re launching GPT-4 answers on Phind.com, a developer-focused search engine that uses generative AI to browse the web and answer technical questions, complete with code examples and detailed explanations. To use it, simply enable the “Expert” toggle before doing a search. GPT-4 is making a night-and-day difference in terms of answer quality.
