CSS Studio. Design by hand, code by agent

Hi HN! I've just released CSS Studio, a design tool that lives on your site, runs on your browser, sends updates to your existing AI agent, which edits any codebase. You can actually play around with the latest version directly on the site. Technically, the way this works is you view your site in dev mode and start editing it. In your agent, you can run /studio which then polls (or uses Claude Channels) an MCP server. Changes are streamed as JSON via the MCP, along with some viewport and URL information, and the skill has some instructions on how best to implement them. It contains a…

In plain words

CSS Studio is a browser-based design tool that integrates with AI agents to edit website code. Designers make visual changes directly on their live site, and the tool sends updates as JSON to an AI agent, which automatically implements modifications to the codebase. It includes features like text editing, style controls, and animation timeline editing. The tool is intended for developers and designers who want to bridge visual design and code generation through AI automation.

A visual design tool in your browser. Changes made straight to your codebase - no matter the framework - by your existing AI agent. Edit content, layout, styles, animations and more.

A visual CSS editor for designers and developers. Edit styles, layout, and animations on your real site. Your AI agent writes every change into real source code.

Edit copy inline. Adjust styles with sliders. Iterate with variants. Your existing AI agent writes it all, directly to your codebase. Redesign and refactor using natural language and image attachments. One-click shortcuts let you generate multiple variants and adapt areas for mobile displays. A classic design tool interface lets you make precise changes to styles, text, layout and animations. Your agent applies these changes to your code. Your agent already knows how to work with your site. HTML, CSS, Tailwind, Markdown, React, or something else entirely. Make the right edits, in the right places. A real timeline editor, physics-driven springs, and scroll-linked animations. Applied as…from cssstudio.ai

We wanted to build a course for new Mastra devs to get started quickly. However, we knew videos would go out of date and be more difficult to maintain. We decided to launch our "course" as an MCP server. This way your coding agent actually teaches the course content to you and can help you write the code. We think this is a really interactive way to learn. Using an editor with MCP support (such as Cursor, Windsurf, or VSCode), your code agent will call the appropriate MCP tools which will return context for the agent. This context tries to instruct the agent that it should be teaching you…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
