In plain words

ctx is an agentic development environment designed for building and managing AI agent systems. It provides developers with tools to create, test, and deploy intelligent agents that can perform complex tasks autonomously. The platform streamlines the development process by offering an integrated workspace where teams can collaborate on agent logic, manage workflows, and monitor agent behavior. ctx is built for software engineers and teams working with AI-powered automation solutions.

From the sources

ctx is an open-source CLI for fast local search across your past coding agent sessions. You can search messages and tool calls across agents and sessions, then jump straight to the exact event or full transcript for any result. ctx pro is a paid add-on for “git blame, but for agent sessions.” Take any line, file, commit, or PR and surface the original transcript of the agent session that produced it. Your agents can use that transcript to recover why the code was written that way, including the decisions, assumptions, and tool calls from the original session. Coding agents have git history, but their own session transcripts and tool call records remain sequestered away in verbose log files.…from ctx.rs

Coding agents don't have long-term memory. But you do have months of full-fidelity agent transcripts stored on your machine. A simple solution that goes a long way: ingest those transcripts and logs into a structured SQLite database, then search them with ranked text match. Everything is fully local and doesn't require anything fancy like a graph database or hosted memory service. This is the idea behind ctx, a Rust CLI that handles the ingestion and searching. We give our agents a skill that tells them to reference past sessions before working in an area. Usually we do this through an…

Hi HN, we’re Nick and Drew, and we’re building boxes.dev – the first cloud-only agentic dev environment (ADE) that gives every Codex and Claude Code agent its own cloud computer. We’re two engineers who previously built Gem (co-founder/CTO and first hire), and we spent the last year coding almost exclusively using Codex and Claude Code. It’s been a huge change to how we code, and it’s been exhilarating seeing the models keep getting better – but we eventually realized that developing on localhost was holding us back: - Git worktrees are clunky to set up and use for parallelizing work -…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
