What it does
Google's official "Save to Google Drive" extension broke this year and was abandoned. Cumulus is the replacement — rebuilt properly for MV3. Right-click any image, link, video or audio to send it to Drive. Intercept downloads before they hit your disk. Bulk save all images on a page. Screenshot to Drive. Auto-sort into tidy dated and typed subfolders. Uses drive.file scope only — Cumulus is physically unable to see anything else in your Drive.
Cumulus sends files straight to Google Drive instead of your disk. Intercept downloads, save pages, links and media to a tidy cloud folder.
Cumulus catches your downloads — PDFs, CSVs, docs, images, zips — and drops them straight into a tidy Google Drive folder. Your disk stays clean. Your files stay everywhere. Right-click a link, image, or video — or hit the toolbar button to snapshot the whole page. Straight to Drive, no local copy. Turn it on and Cumulus catches eligible downloads before they ever touch your disk, rerouting them to the cloud automatically. Documents, Sheets, Images, Media, Archives — Cumulus files everything into neat subfolders so Drive never becomes a junk drawer. Cumulus uses Google's drive.file scope. It can only access files it created — never the rest of your Drive. Resumable uploads handle…from cumulus-nine.vercel.app

Hi HN, I'm building ThirdCloud with the goal to replace Google Drive for everyone: more private, cheaper & maybe better UI/UX. So far, I've successfully implemented the main feature, which involves uploading and downloading files. Files are encrypted before being sent to IPFS network. Would like to hear your thoughts on this proof of concept.
WetoDriveOct 2025 · wetodrive.com · ▲10Hey HN I’m excited to share WeToDrive (https://wetodrive.com) a tool I built to solve a practical pain point I kept encountering: whenever someone sent me a WeTransfer link, I had to download the files locally and then upload them to Google Drive. That’s two steps and sometimes clunky (slow, uses local disk, duplicates, manual). With WeToDrive, you paste a WeTransfer link and the files get saved directly into your Google Drive. No local download, no extra storage needed on your machine. What you can do right away: Paste a WeTransfer link Grant access via OAuth to your Google Drive…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
