What it does

Curaturae is a 'writing tool' that connects your words to images from Smithsonian's collection of 3M+ artifacts. Type something (a poem, song, or message) and the app responds with images inspired by your words.

Connect your writing to +3M images from the Smithsonian’s Open Access collection and gain a new perspective on how to write.

Last year, the Smithsonian developed Open Access, a dataset with over 3 million objects from their collections for public use on the internet. Using today’s technology we can bring these objects to you in surprising ways. After you write something, the application responds with images from Open Access. This project supports writing in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, andfrom curaturae.com
