cvfile.org
app for people who want a job, by a guy who never got hired
What it does
A famous hiring platform without a UI. 1 file standard. Join the matrix. One file packs a designed PDF, a clean Markdown copy, an HTML rendering, and pre-computed BGE-M3 embeddings inside a single PDF/A-3u. Apache-2.0 spec and SDKs in JavaScript, Python, and Go.

- RORenderCV – Open-source CV/resume generator, YAML to PDFDec 2025 · github.com · ▲100
I built RenderCV because Word kept breaking my layout and LaTeX was overkill. I wanted my CV as a single YAML file (content, design, margins, everything) that I could render with one command. Run rendercv render cv.yaml → get a perfectly typeset PDF. Highlights: 1. Version-controllable: Your CV is just text. Diff it, tag it. 2. LLM-friendly: Paste into ChatGPT, tailor to a job description, paste back, render. Batch-produce variants with terminal AI agents. 3. Perfect typography: Typst under the hood handles pixel-perfect alignment and spacing. 4. Full design control: Margins, fonts, colors,…
- CACreate a web accessible URL for your CV or resume2025 · cv.studio · ▲19
Hey HN! We built a quick way to normalize CVs and resumes. Specifically, we built a simple 2-page app at https://cv.studio/ where you can choose a pdf, doc or docx file, and CV Studio will extract the relevant professional metadata out of it and give you a web-shareable URL of that CV. There are a couple other features (e.g. being able to add information that is missing in the CV) but we’re hoping this makes it easier for people to share CVs of applicants during the hiring process. We’d love any feedback or questions you might have.

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

- H6Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481
Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
