Inspired by Paul Klee's Angelus Novus, Deep Angel is an interactive AI designed to both share a glimpse into the future of media manipulation and explore the aesthetics of absence. Looking to evaluate your performance on audio or video deepfakes? Try our "Same Person or Not?" audio study or the Detect Fake Images or Videos study. In this experiment, you will be presented with a series of short social-media texts. Each text was written either by a person or generated by AI. We ask you to read each text carefully and share whether you believe it was written by a Human or by an AI . An "explanation hint" will be shown alongside each text to help you decide. This research is conducted by Northwestern University's Computer Science department. All data for research is collected anonymously for research purposes.
