DeepSeek My User Agent

I wrote an SVG editor and physics simulation to determine how pieces connected by rigid rings will dangle when hung. I was surprised at how well the simulation actually predicted reality! This was done with a lot of help from Gemini over last week (so half with the upgrade). Main link is an explanatory article. DeepSeek My User Agent launched on January 26, 2025 with 360 votes, #73 of 6,142 launches that month and more than 99% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.

In plain words

DeepSeek My User Agent is an AI tool launched in January 2025. It helps users understand and manage their browser user agent information. The tool is designed for developers and technical users who need to work with user agent strings for testing, debugging, or compatibility purposes. It provides clear information about how browsers identify themselves to websites.

DeepSeek My User Agent

DeepSeek R1 is a new model and service that exposes chain-of-thought to the user. You can use it live for free at chat.deepseek.com , or via an API at platform.deepseek.com that is currently significantly less expensive than OpenAI o1. OR, simply click Judge Me to see what the model thinks about your user agent, browser capabilities, and IP location headers. If you dare. Well it was good while it lasted. Shortly after this article was published, the DeepSeek API started having issues. Now, platform.deepseek.com is returning 404, and status.deepseek.com shows a red banner. Only one conclusion can be drawn: DeepSeek My User Agent has brought down DeepSeek 💀. Check out the best judgements on…from jasonthorsness.com

Hey folks, I've been building Clark solo, with the aim to match Manus agent (I really like it!) in features and capabilities, but also in its relentless ability to just complete tasks while using browser, computer etc. So far I think I've achieved 1:1 core feature parity: 1) computer use agent 2) browser use in same thread 3) wide and deep research - clark calls clark 4) integration with google tools Would love to have community feedback and for you to try it out, a couple thousand people already using it daily for very broad use cases. You can use this referral link, that hopefully works…

    Tips.io – A Tailwind playground with AI, page management, and theming2024 · tips.io · ▲291

Hi HN! My name is Nick and this is my fun side project. Please lay it on me. HN can think of Tips.io as a cracked out Tailwind Playground that has page management and amazing AI integration. There are a few core ideas: 1) The HTML is the CMS There are no fields or restrictions. Just hover, click, and start tweaking any HTML. Also, certain elements you click will have special easy edit abilities: - auto creates an uploader, stock photo picker (or HTML) - auto creates an uploader, stock video picker (or HTML) - auto creates a big icon picker (or HTML) - auto creates a WYSIWYG Editor (or HTML)…

Hey Hackers! I've had this idea stuck in my head for a while: what if an AI could actually use my browser for me? I mean, not on some virtual machine in the cloud like ChatGPT agent, but right on my own browser. I finally decided to just build it and see what would happen. I wrote a quick MVP, and honestly, I didn't expect much. But then... it started doing things. On its own. It figured out how to use search engine to find what I needed, read a webpage to answer my questions, and even it can organize my chaotic mess of tabs into neat groups. It was a genuine "whoa" moment for me. That's…

We build AI agents to find vulnerabilities in other AI agents. The playground started as an internal tool that we used to test our own offensive agent Nyx. But we realised that hacking an AI is about have as wide a distribution of attacks as possible, especially those which aren't in the distribution of the models. So we are launching playground as a platform to crowdsource agent jailbreaks. And although hacking AI is super fun and we are sure people will do it for free, we want to reward those who help us push forward the offensive frontier of AI. So we are committing $100K in prizes over…

Hey HN, This is my take on the agent harness. Everything on an isometric map. Agents are grouped into "buildings" that run in a sequence or a loop; e.g., the CodeForge has an agent that writes a PRD, another one that implements, and a third that reviews. Everything is customizable, you build your own buildings/teams however you want. It's a Tauri app, really light (about 8x less energy than the closest competitor I benchmarked, so it actually runs from a coffee shop on battery). It's macOS only for now, but ping me if you are willing to test the Windows or Linux version. I've been…

I've been building computer-use tools for a while, and I quietly launched this about a month ago (122 Stars on GH). I figured it was worth sharing here. Over the last few months, a lot of computer-use agents have come out: Codex, Claude Code, CUA, and others. Most of them seem to work roughly like this: 1. Take a screenshot 2. Have the model predict pixel coordinates 3. Click x,y 4. Take another screenshot 5. Repeat That works, but it's slow, expensive in tokens, and fragile. If the UI shifts a few pixels, things break. And the model still doesn't know what any element actually is. But the…

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
