What it does

Dictantor captures meetings and voice notes across Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch. On Mac, it records microphone and system audio together and prompts you before meetings. Transcription runs on device in 25 European languages, separating your voice from everyone else. Search returns you to exact spoken moments. No Dictantor account or subscription. Supported recordings can sync through your private iCloud account.

Record, transcribe, search, and revisit your ideas — entirely on your device. Open Dictantor, tap record, and keep going for long sessions. Live Activities keep recording visible while you move through the day. Transcripts appear beside each recording, so a voice note becomes text you can scan, copy, and search without sending audio to the cloud. Search for a phrase, open the matching transcript, and return to the audio around that timestamp instead of replaying the whole file. Use them after meetings, lectures, interviews, or brainstorming sessions. Insights require Apple Intelligence and are available on supported devices.
