Easily manage your small backend projects and bots
Docker Container Hosting launched on November 6, 2020 with 2 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 5 years on.
What it does
We know that deploying containers for small projects or bots can be tedious, and not necessarily the smoothest process, which is why we've created our easy-to-use Docker Container Hosting platform.

Simple Docker Hosting2025 · sliplane.io · ▲64Hey HN! We launched sliplane.io, where deploying Docker containers is super simple and wallet-friendly. With our Pay-per-Server approach, you can host as many containers as you want on each server at a set price - no huge surprise bills, just straightforward Docker hosting. You simply connect your Github repository and we do the rest that you expect from a PaaS, SSL by default, automatic deployments, backups of your storage etc. Pricing starts at 9€/month for 2vCPU, 2GB RAM, 40 GB Disk, 2 TB Egress. Cheers, Jonas
Depot – fast, remote Docker container builds2022 · depot.dev · ▲141Hey HN! We’re Kyle and Jacob and we are excited to show you Depot (https://depot.dev) and get your feedback! Depot is a hosted Docker container build service, providing fully managed remote builds from CI and from your terminal. We support both Intel and Arm builds natively. As application and platform engineers, we have experienced the challenge of keeping Docker container build times fast. From optimizing and reoptimizing Dockerfiles, to implementing layer caching in CI, to running & maintaining custom runners for multi-platform images. Still today, there are limitations with the…

Docker rollout – Zero Downtime Deployment for Docker-compose2023 · github.com · ▲187docker-compose is great for single node docker deployments, but it doesn't have a feature that would allow zero downtime deployments. It's not possible to deploy often if your app goes down every time, and using Kubernetes/Nomad/Swarm on a single node is an overkill. I created this Docker plugin to be a drop-in replacement for the restart command in usual docker-compose deployment scripts. It performs a simple rolling deployment of a single service.

But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
