In plain words
DomainWheel is a startup name generator that helps entrepreneurs find available domain names and business names. The tool combines APIs from GoDaddy, DomainsBot, and DataMuse with custom rules and filters to produce relevant suggestions. It's designed for anyone starting a company who needs quick, creative name ideas paired with domain availability checks. The platform is currently in beta and aims to improve suggestions by incorporating human feedback and building a growing database of quality name options.

We have started the project during a hackaton here at Themeisle and just managed to launch a beta version for it. While before I was wondering why there aren't any good tools for this, soon I realise that is much more complex than I thought, for now we are using various existing APIs from Godaddy,DomainsBot and DataMuse with custom rules, exclusions and suggestions to make sure we deliver much better results. It seems that the only good solution for now and something we are working on is to integrate MTurk or microworkers and generate suggestions "on-the-fly", while building a nice database of data, I am passionated about ways that we can build a smart searh/suggestion engine "backed" by humans, will see how much it makes sense.

In my exploration of OpenAI, I just created a domain-name search that takes business description as an input, and generates interesting domain names for it. It then uses DNSimple API to check if .com is available. In my view it is a much easier way to find a suitable domain, as the AI thinks of a much large pool of possible names than my own brain. SmartyNames found its own name, using the tool itself. Hope you enjoy it! https://smartynames.com/
