What it does
DOOD is an accountability system built around an AI calendar and an AI messaging agent. It allows you to track streaks and productivity, set long and short term goals, and connect apps like Strava, Google Calendar, Discord, and more. Day One or One Day.
Plan with AI, see which goals you feed each week, and stay accountable with Discord and SMS nudges. Streaks, calendar, and proof from the apps you already use. Day One or One Day.
Watches how your week really goes, and messages when you drift. Work, school, gym. DOOD shows up even when you don't. No app to open, no self-reporting, no going quiet on the goals that matter. A short look at planning, check-ins, and streaks — then try it yourself in the chat below. Describe your goals or your week. You'll get a real schedule preview — nothing saves until you create a free account. Morning briefs and neglected-goal nudges on Discord or SMS — so accountability doesn't wait for you to open the app. Proof you showed up — Google Calendar, Discord, and Strava today. GitHub, Notion, Outlook, Todoist, and SMS on the roadmap. Windows companion demo available — full week-map sync…from textdood.com

I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
