Embedding Atlas

Hey HN, we're happy to release Mycelium, a JavaScript library for creating graph visualizations of machine learning models or any other directed acyclic graphs. Mycelium powers the graph viewer of the Talaria [0] a research model visualization and optimization system, which was used to optimize the efficiency of Apple Foundation Models [1]. Everything works entirely on the client-side in the browser — we provide a rudimentary ONNX loader out of the box, which you can try by dragging model files into our website. It is also simple to define loaders for your own model formats. The library was…

Embedding Atlas launched on August 11, 2025 with 150 votes, #225 of 8,530 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.

What it does

Embedding Atlas is a tool that provides interactive visualizations for large embeddings. It allows you to visualize, cross-filter, and search embeddings and metadata. Open sourced by Apple.

Interactive visualizations for large-scale embeddings. Effortlessly explore, filter, and search through rich metadata.

Visualize, cross-filter, and search embeddings and metadata. Interactively visualize and navigate overall data structure. Render up to a few million points with density contours, powered by WebGPU. Arrange charts and configure cross-filtering between them. Compose custom charts via a chart spec. Built-in viewers for text, image, audio, numeric, categorical, and time columns. AI agents can query, chart, and explore your data via Model Contextfrom apple.github.io

    I made a website to semantically search ArXiv papers2024 · papermatch.mitanshu.tech · ▲324

As a grad student (and an ADHDer), I had trouble doing literature review systematically. To combat this, I made a website that finds similar papers using the meaning of the thing I am looking for. I used MixedBread's [^1] embedding model to generate vectors from the abstracts. I store and search similar vectors using Milvus [^2] and finally use Gradio [^3] to serve the frontend. I update the vector database weekly by pulling the metadata dataset from Kaggle [^4]. To speed up the search process on my free oracle instance, I binarise the embeddings and use Hamming distance as a metric. I would…

Hi HN! I've found this visualization tool immensely helpful over the years for getting an intuition for how an LLM "sees" some piece of text, and with a bit of elbow grease decided to move all compute to client side so I could make it publicly available. I've found it particularly useful for - Understanding exactly how repetition and patterns affect a small LM's ability to predict correctly - Understanding different tokenization patterns and how it affects model output - Getting a general sense of how "hard" different prediction tasks are for GPT-style models Known problems (that I probably…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…
