Embedex – make your blog interactive with AI

Hi HN! As someone who reads tons of blogs, I've always gravitated toward posts that let me click something, be it a simple quiz or even a mini-game or a simulation. There have never been many of such blogs since developing custom elements requires coding knowledge. I believe that's no longer the case in the AI era. I'm building a tool that allows you to create any interactive embed you can imagine by simply chatting with AI: * A quiz of any format and outcome: https://embedex.io/blog-demo#quiz-ai * A working drum machine:…

What it does

In the maker’s words, at launch

Hi HN! As someone who reads tons of blogs, I've always gravitated toward posts that let me click something, be it a simple quiz or even a mini-game or a simulation. There have never been many of such blogs since developing custom elements requires coding knowledge. I believe that's no longer the case in the AI era. I'm building a tool that allows you to create any interactive embed you can imagine by simply chatting with AI: * A quiz of any format and outcome: https://embedex.io/blog-demo#quiz-ai * A working drum machine: https://embedex.io/blog-demo#drum-machine * An investment calculator: https://embedex.io/blog-demo#investment-calculator * A custom draw-a-circle game: https://embedex.io/blog-demo#draw-circle-game The embeds work with WordPress, Ghost, Wix, Squarespace, Blogger.com, and most other blogging platforms - just copy and paste the embed code into an HTML/embed block. The idea was inspired by Claude Artifacts, and I think there are still many blogging-specific features and improvements that can be implemented to make it a useful standalone product. You (or your blogger friends) can use Embedex completely for free while I continue improving it in exchange for some feedback. Try it at https://embedex.io and share your most unique creations below - just grab a link from the "Publish" menu in the upper right corner!

Embeddable -build interactive experiences you can drop into any website2025 · embeddable.co · ▲7

Hi HN, I’m a co‑founder of Embeddable AI. After struggling to add interactive AI experiences to Wix, Shopify, Webflow, WordPress sites, I built this tool to let marketers build chatbots, quizzes or assistants and embed them anywhere with a snippet. Built in React/TypeScript front end and Node.js logic engine. It loads fast and works across CMS platforms. I’d love feedback from builders and marketers on use cases, missing features, or integration ideas.

    Playground for comparing embedding models on Wikipedia+book retrieval2023 · embeds.ai · ▲5

Introducing embeds.ai: an embedding playground to compare how embedding models work on a real world use case (retrieval augmented generation for Wikipedia articles + Elad Gil's High growth handbook) A few weeks ago, Shreyan and I were looking for an embedding model to use for RAG. We eventually came across the MTEB leaderboard, but we struggled to understand the benchmark scores. We wanted a tool to test various embedding models with example queries on real-world datasets. After unsuccessfully looking for such a “playground”, we decided to just build one ourselves! We embedded HuggingFace’s…

    I'm building a website to discover AI tools, AI WITH. ME2024 · aiwith.me · ▲6

I built this AI navigation site when I was learning NextJS; I looked for AI tools to solve problems along the way, and found a lot of interesting AI products; A lot of these products are great. I thought it would be a good idea to bookmark my browser, but I wanted to share it with everyone in the world, so I had this site. Now you can do it in AI WITH. ME Find the AI products you need for work, life, and study; I have a lot of categories to choose from: programming, art, writing, video, lifestyle, health, you name it, and I try to update the data every day. If you find it helpful to you, you…

MapMyLearn – AI tool that creates personalized learning paths2025 · ▲7

Hi HN, I'm a solo developer learning to code, and I'd love to share my second real project: MapMyLearn, an AI-powered app that automatically generates personalized learning paths based on any topic you input. What it does: Takes a topic (e.g. "history of capitalism", "learn Rust", or "data storytelling") Uses AI to break it down into a structured course with modules and submodules Each submodule includes: - Detailed, pedagogical content (developed based on online sources to mitigate hallucinations) - A quiz of 10 questions - Recommended resources - An AI chatbot for Q&A - Optional audio…

    Alpha Demo of NotePad.ai (open source)2024 · github.com · ▲7

Hi all, I threw together a small prototype I am calling “Notepad.ai”. A new take on UIs for interacting with LLMs. While I enjoy using LLM’s in the chat format I wanted to see what it would be like to do it in a more long form style. It let’s you write in a pretty free form, much like Window’s Notepad, but you can choose to hit ctrl+[ to analyze the text with a preset prompt of your choosing. It has a few other small features. It’s WIP and very experimental. I would appreciate any feedback or thoughts. Video: https://youtu.be/ntdlgFmSxQY Live Demo:…

    I build a dedicated news site for AI developers (think HN for AI/ML)2023 · news.aiapipro.com · ▲8

Think of HackerNews, but only for AI content. Did build this out of the wish for easier discoverability of new technologies in the AI/ML space. Obviously, so far only a tiny small community, but maybe a few of you find it nice to be around and want to post a link there every now and then :)

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
