What it does

The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is an open source blockchain naming protocol. Buy an ENS-nativeETH name or import in a DNS name you already own. It's your portable web3 username, a name for all your crypto addresses, a decentralized website, & more.

Welcome to the new internet.

ENS is the open naming layer with over 35 million registered names, made for every chain, app, and wallet. Your ENS name is your digital anchor for the internet, seamlessly integrating across platforms, apps, chains and beyond. It's universal, adaptive, essential, and unmistakably yours. No more confusing hex addresses. Your ENS name is easy to remember, easy to share. Keep your identity consistent across all services and platforms effortlessly. Say goodbye to juggling multiple usernames. Your ENS name is 100% yours. No intermediaries, no bureaucracy. It's your property—uncensored and irrevocable. Your namespace, your rules. Decide how names are issued, organized, and managed as your needs…from ens.domains
