exit1.dev

I'm trying to disrupt the insane pricing of uptime monitoring. I hope you'll help me out. I'm trying to create the absolute cheapest dev monitoring tool on the market, while still being competitive with all the others. This means $3/month plan, while still having monitoring for: Website, REST API, UDP/TCP, ICMP, Heartbeat/CRON, WS/WSS, DNS, Domain Intel/expiry and SSL. Everything with unlimited alerts through webhooks. I'm also taking an unlimited approach to the amount of checks you can have. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

exit1.dev launched on July 26, 2025 with 11 votes, #1,852 of 9,223 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.

What it does

Real-time uptime tracking with a terminal-inspired interface. Get instant alerts when your websites go down.

Uptime monitoring with checks down to 15 seconds and live probe streaming: watch DNS, connect, TLS and TTFB land in real time. 50 monitors free, no credit card. Paid plans from $3/mo, each with a 7-day free trial.

Watch every probe land as it happens, with DNS, connect, TLS and TTFB timings on each one. Run in your terminal before starting claude. The login opens your browser to sign in. Then paste the prompt into Claude Code . It sets up monitoring from your repo. A streaming view of checks firing across regions — see status, latency, and failures the instant they happen. Most tools check once a minute. exit1 goes down to every 15 seconds — so you catch incidents up to four times sooner, with four times the detail in every chart. Live status and 90-day uptime for tools you already depend on — independently measured, not self-reported. HTTP and HTTPS endpoints, raw TCP and UDP ports, WebSocket…from exit1.dev

I built a free SaaS uptime monitoring solution that helps you track whether your websites and services are running. Key features: Clean, modern UI for monitoring multiple endpoints Real-time status updates and response time tracking Instant notifications when services go down Easy setup and configuration Built with modern web technologies (Next.js, React) I created this because I wanted a simple and beautiful solution for monitoring my own services without relying on overpriced third-party providers. The focus is on simplicity and reliability. Would love feedback from the HN community on…

A couple of months back, I had come across this promising-looking app on github - a website uptime monitoring service[1] built with Node.js, MongoDB, and Bootstrap, so I had whipped up a DO droplet[2], registered a (free) .tk domain[3] and after a weekend of messing about (mainly via ssh), had created a (stock) working service (and then promptly forgotten about it): http://monitup.tk:8082/dashboard/checks Turned out to be a lot better than I had expected! Now, while there are many such (free and paid) services available out there, I do think one more can't hurt,…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Hey HN! Introducing Trickle Magic Canvas: the world’s first Agentic Canvas, where you can visually co-create apps and websites with AI, from idea to production. Why is a canvas better? Most AI tools today rely on linear chats or text prompts. We believe that limits creativity and clarity. Canvas changes the game. 1. Every version & page at a glance. Each page and sub-page lives on a timeline. You can quickly browse, edit, and preview progress like a living, visual document — no more digging through chat logs or scattered states. 2. The canvas is the context. Unlike linear chats, you can…

  • Today marks ten years, 3653 consecutive days, of running at least one mile every day under the USRSA rules [1]. To celebrate, I built an interactive dashboard that turns a decade of GPX files into charts you can explore. Running has truly changed my life: I've made lifelong friends, explored beautiful places, and more importantly invested into my own health and fitness, which I'm starting to see the positive benefits as I get older. The stack is pretty simple: a NextJS app, with a Postgres database to keep all my running data, and all the stats are pre-computed and cached in Redis, so I…

  • Made this website as an exercise in vibe-coding and GCP. It was posted about a few times around the internet, on sites like Morning Brew (https://www.morningbrew.com/issues/business-buzzkill), MetaFilter (https://www.metafilter.com/209703/Draw-A-Fish), boingboing.net, etc. I think it's cute! I built a basic CNN trained against penises and swastikas, and then anything that doesn't hit the 63% confidence score gets sent to a mod queue, a vibe-coded fish-tinder…

  • Hi HN - I made a site that takes a UK postcode, grabs the local MP's information and generates an AI mockup of what their ID might look like. It's a small, silly protest at the stupidity of the Online Safety Act that just came into force. edit - My open AI credits got hugged to death, please use a known postcode (like one from Kier Starmer's constituency, WC2B6NH) in the meantime.
